Bad Biology - Frank Henenlotter - USA - (2008)
Plot from Imdb: "Driven by biological excess, a young man and woman search for sexual fulfillment, unaware of each other's existence. Unfortunately, they eventually meet, and the bonding of these two very unusual human beings ends in an explosive and ultimately over-the-top sexual experience, resulting in a truly god awful love story...."
Nice to see F.Henelotter last "baby" and nice to see that he hasn't lost his violent humor and cynical way of watching social interaction. This time, it's the "mating" of humans that gets treated by Dr.Henenlotter and it's really fun ! Lots of sex (YEAH !), some blood (double YEAH !) and lots of insanity (triple YEAH) in this very nice movie. I really loved it, I found it hilarious. It deals with Henenlotter's old obsessions of asocial behavior, drug addiction and moral boundaries. Technically, let's say it, this movie is not well made and very fucking far from the production qualities that were in "Brain Damage" or Frankenhooker" but I can't blame the director for having to deal with a crazy shooting and.... a cancer. So, all my respects to this great man and to his producer R.A the Rugged Man (yes, the rapper from collective "Jedi Mind Trick" and "La Coka Nostra").
If you want double clitoris, gigantic "alive" cock, 2 hours pregnancy, drug addiction, a "wanking" machine and murders, you're in for a treat. Follow the red light...

Wild Zero - Tetsuro Takeuchi - Japan - (2000)
Plot from Imdb: "After a meteor strike aliens attack the earth and begin turning people into zombies. Rockers Guitar Wolf, Bass Wolf and Drum Wolf as well as their rock and roll blood brother ace and his true love Tobio are caught in the middle of this madness."
Rock'n'Roll Zombies !!!! Very dynamic movie, not much of a script (who needs a script in a zombie flick ?) from the amazing Japanese Guitar Wolf rock group. This UFO went right through my brain and left a great memory forever. You can see this movie multiple times, and every time, it'll put a smile on your face...(drinking helps also). Zombies, rock'n'roll, some kind of cross-gender, absurd yakusas, highway pursuits and a feeling of total freedom make this one of the greatest all-out freak fest ever. And just for the apparitions of Guitar Wolf, declaiming his unforgivable slogans at the weirdest moments, it's unmissable. Perfect movie for a Saturday night with friends and beer.

Ika resuraa - The Calamari Wrestler - Minoru Kawasaki . Japan - (2004)
Plot from Wikipedia: "The magical realist plot revolves around a professional wrestler who, after developing a terminal illness, becomes a giant squid-like creature. While he finds some success in the ring, he craves respect outside it."
Minoru Kawasaki is the MAN ! Not only did he went on making insane movies about Calamari wrestler or psychotic executive Koala ("Executive koala", his masterpiece in my opinion, review coming up !), but he also directed nonsensical comedy "The Rug Cop", one of the bonkiest jap-comedy of all time...What can I say ? This man is a master. With very little money (often no more than a Video production), he makes incredible movies, that are both ridiculous and extremely touching. What's happening is that everything is told like having people turning into Calamari or Squilla was perfectly normal. Therefore, the comical part is not exploited at all. The director leaves us laughing alone and go on making his movie about real "persons" having feelings and emotions. What a genius idea ! Needless to say that some of the fights in this movie are hilarious and so out -there that your belly hurts. And it's not the seafood.
Can't wait to watch his last one "The Monster X Strikes Back: Attack the G8 Summit"...

Jigureul jikyeora! a.k.a Save the Green Planet - Joon-Hwan Jang - Korea - (2003)
Plot from Imdb: "Byeong-gu believes that the world is on the verge of an alien invasion, and sets out to save the world."
An incredible mix of genres, in this marvelously demented flick: SciFi, comedy, thriller, gore, etc...All of them really well handled ! When I first saw this movie, I was mesmerized...I started expecting a SciFi crazy comedy, then when it went on the be a gruesome torture flick, I was lost. And then on and on. If craziness is often linked with Japanese cinema or Cat III Hong-Kong movies, well we'll have to count in the Korean cinema, from now on. Such liberty and invention...It's a geek dream of a movie !
On another level, the movie is incredibly well made on all technical aspect, witch is very impressive for a first time director. I'm definitively looking forward to see this one again...for the third time.
