Cani arrabbiati aka Rabid Dogs aka Kidnapped - Mario Bava - Italia - (1974)

Plot from Imdb: Following a bungled robbery, three violent criminals take a young woman, a middle-aged man, and a child hostage and force them to drive them outside Rome to help them make a clean getaway.
Another little gem, from cult director Mario Bava. The beginning is ok, following in the footsteps of some of the classic italian exploitation crime movies of that period. Not the best action but the energy is there, but the really really good part is the rest of the movie, the escape in the car. There is an incredible tension in thoses scenes, building up from the tension between the kidnappers and the hostages. Some of it is really claustrophobic and seems pretty realistic. The all cast is good, Don Blacky ("blade") is a bit over the top but it works anyway. As usual in Bava's work, the framing is really good, witch is very difficult in a "car thriller". Nice one, Signore Bava.
